The firm’s founder has been a CPA in the Hartford area for over 35 years. The first 10 of those years were with Deloitte and Touche (and its predecessor), the largest CPA firm in the world after which he founded Bennett & Company to bring that type of expertise to local family owned businesses. During these years Roger gained immense experience working for clients in many industries, including manufacturing, retail, construction and real estate with sales ranging from $2 million-$100 million per year.

Roger led the construction/real estate group and the manufacturing group, with clients such as Ensign Bickford, Reno Machine, B&F Machine and negotiated Gros-Ite’s purchase of Apex Machine Tool. While at Deloitte and Touche Roger also helped clients with IPOs and private placements raising tens of millions of dollars. He has many clients that have been with him for upwards of 25 years. His clients consider him a trusted advisor and valuable and integral part of their management team. Roger is also the only CPA in Connecticut that is both a member of Mensa and the Bradford Tax Institute, an advanced think tank for sophisticated tax planning for businesses and high net worth individuals.

Among the firm’s members are three other CPAs with Big 4 international accounting firm experience.
